Water catchments
The water sources are national riches administrated by Regia Apele Romane from which Compania Apa Brasov S.A. purchases the raw water to be treated and transformed in drinking water and provide to the clients.
Currently, the water supply system consists of:
Catch sources:
- Răcădău: 20 l/s supplies Răcădău Reservoir;
- Solomon: (Valea cu apa, Putreda) 25 l/s supplies Solomon Reservoir;
- Ciucaş: 60-80 l/s supplies Pleasa Reservoir and Tarlugeni Community;
- Saros: 30 l/s is the main water source for localities: Rupea, Rupea Gara, Hoghiz, Homorod and Fantana;
- Bozom: 15l/s supplies Apata Community;
- Valea Seaca: level 850 m, supplies Budila Community;
- Valea Baciului, 7 Izvoare, Poiana Angelescu, Garcini supplies Sacele Municipality.
Surface sources:
- Tarlung Lake - the most important source that covers 90% of supply system;
- Dopca Lake - the water supply source of the from Rupea, Racos and Dopca Area.
Underground water:
- Harman – Prejmer drilling wells: consist of 45 wells that operates to 40 m depth and are equipped with submersible with a total capacity of 1900 l/s ANIF Brasov Property);
- Magurele drilling wells: 3 depth wells, that serve only Poiana Brasov;
- Ghimbav drilling wells: 3 depth wells, exploring to 45 m depth with a total capacity of 26 l/s;
- Stupini-Sanpetru-Harman drilling wells: consist in 30 wells that operate to 150 m depth, controlled from Rulmentul Pumps Station, with a total capacity of 810 l/s.
