Transport and Distribution Network
Water transport and distribution network is part of water supply public system and is formed by pipes, fittings and auxiliary installations, that provides the water distribution to final beneficiary
Brasov and served locality distribution network on pressure levels is structured as follows:
- low pressure area: 4 reservoirs (Dealul lui Lupan, Cetatuia) with total capacity of 18.000 m3;
- medium pressure area: 7 reservoirs (Dealul Melcilor, Tampa, Palatul Scolarilor) with total capacity of 37.000 m3;
- high pressure area: 6 reservoirs (Pleasa, Dealul Melcilor) with total capacity of 28.060 m3;
- superior pressure area: 4 reservoirs (Solomon, Racadau, Pajiste, Warthe) with total capacity of 9.100 m3.
Sacele Municipality distribution network use 6 reservoirs: Cosbuc, Bunloc, Mioritei, 7 Izvoare, Garcini, Baciului.
The water is taken from ANIF network in Prejmer and is pumped in a 200 m3 water tower that supply Prejmer and Lunca Calnicului Locality.
The reservoirs are supplied with water through 16 pumps stations: Harman P.S., Zizin P.S., Rulmentul P.S., Dealul lui Lupan P.S., Tampa P.S., Dealul Melcilor P.S., Magurele P.S., Ruia P.S., Rupea P.S., Homorod P.S., Hoghiz P.S., Mateias P.S., Darste P.S., Cosbuc P.S., Electroprecizia Hidrofore, Izvoarelor Hidrofore.
The connection between the pumps station, reservoirs and the treatment plant is performed by supply lines.
The distribution network length on localities is as follows: Brasov 516.8 km, Rupea 20 km, Sacele 85.5 km, Prejmer 25 km, Lunca Calnicului 15 km, Ghimbav 15 km, Sanpetru 17 km Harman 17.5 km, Halchiu 12 km, Bod 21 km.
